Eating Al Fresco

With local restaurants reopening, there’s a good chance you’ll want to enjoy a weekend brunch or late evening cocktails sometime soon. If you haven’t yet added a summer-y, outdoor-friendly outfit to your closet, here’s one to try. This cute romper has just enough coverage over the arms to keep you warm when the sun goes down, but the bold color and pattern make it perfect for any time of day. Add Steve Madden’s trendy platform sandals for an extra boost of height, and mix and match accessories depending on your favorite style.

Three-Quarter-Sleeve Wrap-Front Romper, Madewell; $60
Double Line Sunglasses, Dolce & Gabbana; $310
Lara Woven Clutch in Natural, Bishop Boutique; $39
Two-Pack Wavy Bobby Pins, Madewell; 14.50

Sweat in Style

Having not gone to the gym since mid-March, chances are you might not have upped your workout clothes since the winter season (unless you’re working in them from home, of course). This outfit brings in the recent trends (hello, lengthier shorts) and comforts of the season, while being stylish enough to wear straight from your outdoor workout to an errands run. The jacket is light enough for early-morning runs going into fall—and UV protective—and light enough to throw for running into the grocery store. As a bonus, grab this portable workout mat perfect for spreading out in the grass during outdoor yoga, or using on your own back porch. Still looking for an outdoor workout to try? Check out these local gyms. And please, don’t forget your sunscreen!

Farmers Market Fashion

Having shopped so much at the local grocery stores over the past few months, you’re excused if you’ve found yourself fatigued by both cooking inspiration and lack of ingredients on the shelves. For a mix-up, head to a farmers market instead and grab some local ingredients to make a truly special meal. When you go, you’ll have an excuse to wear this comfortable, care-free outfit and carry a reusable tote bag to fill with all of your local finds. Even more good news? Each piece of the outfit can be paired with something else in your closet, making even more outfit options for weeks to come.

Signaturesoft Jersey Button Tie Front Tank, Lou & Grey; $39.50

Mayari Sandals, Mocha, Birkenstock; $99

Reaching New Heights

Maybe you’ve already gone to the local drive-in movie theater or done some shopping around the mall, but you’re still looking for something else to get a change of scenery. Well, if you’ve been going on lots of daily walks lately, head to the local trails to up the ante. We’ve rounded up a great list of them here (even if you want to bring your pups!), and it will give you the excuse to try something new. You don’t need to have the fanciest gear just to head up to an overlook, but it sure does help to have a great pair of hiking boots, tear-resistant (yet stylish) pants and even a multi-use backpack. Now go take the road less traveled!

Renew Racerback Tank, Athleta; $49
Women’s Ripstop Pant, Vuori; $89
Danner Mountain 600 Hiking Boots, REI; $180
Women’s Lightweight Quarter Socks, BOMBAS; $14
Daypack, TOPO Designs; $169

Toes in the Sand

After all of your social distancing, if you just can’t take it anymore, go to the beach for a day trip.  Make sure it’s sunny so you can soak in the vitamin D all day, pack a cooler full of snacks and drinks and your portable speaker for some additional tunes. Even if you don’t head into the water, this stylish suit will keep you comfortable while you lounge, and the cover-up can be a wrap while you’re walking to a nearby shop. Pair this outfit with a carefree pair of denim shorts (which can simplify any outfits to come) and slip-on sandals and you’ll be feeling that extra freedom in no time.

Women’s High Waist Medium Coverage Bikini Bottom – Kona Sol, Target; $20
The Beach Wrap – Red, mer sea; $89
The Perfect Jean Short in Millman Wash, Madewell; $70
